What Volunteer Drivers Do

As a volunteer driver with Drive A Senior you will have the opportunity to provide door-to-door rides for local seniors in need. Drivers use their own vehicles and choose which rides they would like to take. Our volunteer opportunities are flexible depending on your schedule — from several times a week to only once or twice a month. Before too long you will have created new and meaningful friendships with your passengers that will last a lifetime.

Driving Isn't Your Thing?

Don’t worry — you can still help make a difference. Here are four ways to pitch in without getting behind the wheel.

Office & Technology Assistance
Assisting with administrative and technology related tasks, including use of communication services and devices.
Simple Home Maintenance
Changing light bulbs, minor plumbing repair, checking batteries in smoke detectors or other handyman tasks.
Friendly Visits and Calls
Traveling to our seniors' homes for a neighborly chat or to catch up on recent news. Calling seniors in your region to check in or preparing and delivering gifts to their homes.
Light Yard Work
Raking leaves or mulching flower beds; seasonal trimming of bushes and shrubs, and occasional mowing and edging.
